Configuring a Firewall to Permit WebRTC Access

In the event that an Agent encounters technical issues when using WebRTC, one of the first things to check is whether their firewall is blocking communications with the servers that provide the VoIP calling functionality, including WebRTC. This can often be verified by examining the web access log report, which will contain information about any sessions that failed to connect.

Contact a system administrator if you are unsure how to implement any of the following changes.

The Agent's firewall should permit outbound traffic via port 8089 and 8080 to the servers at the following IP addresses:

  • 213.161.91.50
  • 83.244.221.201
  • 109.231.237.228
  • 80.169.12.50
  • 62.254.189.228
  • 80.169.12.91
  • 149.6.121.93
  • 149.5.96.29
  • 79.141.44.120

Incoming RTP will use a random, high-numbered port between 20,001 and 30,000 via UDP. The Agent's firewall should allow this entire range for inbound RTP from the IP addresses listed above.

Lastly, the firewall should permit outbound STUN access to the below IPs. This access will be via UDP on port 3478.

  • 138.68.149.118
  • 165.227.235.48
  • 20.49.180.248
  • 172.187.249.206
