Creating an Audio Prompt

The following describes how to upload one or more audio files to create audio prompts, which can be included as part of one or more IVRs.

Ensure the total file size uploaded in a single attempt does not exceed 10MB. For optimal call quality, the files you upload should be 8Khz, 16-bit audio.

Implementation

  1. Access the Audio Prompts list for the intended customer.

    1. Access the resources page for the intended customer.

      1. Access the details page for the intended customer.

        1. Type the customer’s name into the search field at the top of any page.
        2. Click the intended customer in the search results. This opens the Customer Details page.
      1. Select the Customer Resources tab.
    1. Click the Recordings/Prompts hyperlink.
  1. Select the Add New tab.
  2. Use one of the following upload methods:

    For each audio prompt you want to create:

    1. Provide a meaningful Name.
    2. (Optional) Provide a Category.
    3. Use the Choose File button to select the intended source audio File.
    1. Ensure the source files are in a compressed (ZIP) file, not within any sub-folders, and that the .ZIP contains no other types of file.
    2. Use the Choose File button at the bottom of the interface to select the ZIP file containing your source files.
  3. Click Create New Prompts.
