Implementation
- Access the tariffs list.Accessing a list of available tariffs...
- Access the Partner Properties page.Accessing your Partner properties...
- Hover the cursor over your company name in the top-left corner of any page. This will open a context menu.
- Select Your PartnerProperties. This opens the Partner page, with the Contact Details tab selected.
- Select the Tariffs tab.
- Access the Partner Properties page.
- Locate the intended tariff and click its Edit link. This opens a new page.
You can only edit tariffs created by your organisation using an available template.
- The Edit Tariff page contains various tabs representing the different price bands (e.g. inbound, outbound) relevant to this tariff. Select the tab containing the band(s) you intend to modify.
Any tab whose label includes "All" will show every available band in that category, including ones that have not been modified from the original template. The In Bands, Out Bands, etc. tabs only contain bands that have been modified, or 'broken-out', from their template.
- Locate the band you intend to modify.Using filters...
You can filter a list according to the values of certain columns. Eligible columns can be identified by the presence of buttons or fields in the column header.
The default setting for most filterable columns is All, meaning that all entries are shown regardless of their value in this column. You can apply a text filter such as Starting, Ending, Exactly, or Contains, which will require you to also specify a text string. After typing the intended filter term and clicking the corresponding Go button, the list will refresh to display just the entries that satisfy your filter conditions.
- If the intended band has not already been 'broken-out' from the template, you will need to click its Break-out Band button before you can edit it.
- Change the TelCo order preference for this band, if needed.Changing TelCo order for a tariff charge band...
- Click the corresponding Edit Telcos button.
- Use the drop-down fields provided to select the 1st, 2nd, through to 5th preference TelCos for this band to use.
- Click Save to apply your change.
- Click Close to hide the TelCos interface.
Because different TelCos tend to charge different prices, be aware of the commercial implication of your choices here, and set your prices accordingly.
- Change the PPM and (where available) PPC for this band, as needed.Changing costs for a tariff charge band...
- Click the corresponding Edit Rates button.
- For each party involved in calls (e.g. Reseller, Customer), choose a method of calculating their PPM:
- Variable (V): The value is calculated based on the TelCo charge minus any costs paid by the Reseller and Customer.
- Markup (M): The value is calculated based on a mark-up of the charge below it in the hierarchy. This can be either a percentage, a fixed number (in pence), or both. Where both are used, the higher value will be applied on each call.
- Fixed (F): The value is a fixed number, in pence.
- Zero (Z): No value is charged or earned by this party for calls that use this band.
- Depending on your choice above, fill in all necessary fields to ensure pricing is correctly applied.
All negative values are costs to the party, and all positive values are benefits earned by the party.
Where values are variable, changing the percentage in one row will update all other variable rates in the same column so that the total does not go above 100%.
- If you want to edit the PPC for the band, click the Show PPC link, then repeat steps b and c above for the PPC table.
- When you've finished, click Save to apply your changes.
- Click Close to hide the rates interface.
- Remove any broken-out bands that should not be used for this tariff.Removing and re-adding tariff bands...
This process will remove the broken-out band from the tariff, but as long as it exists in the original template it can be re-added later.
- Locate the intended band and click its Delete button.
Deleting a tariff band will permanently delete any values assigned to that band for this tariff. If you re-add the band later, its values will match those of the original template.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
- If you want to re-add a deleted band, scroll to the bottom of the page and use the Add New drop-down to select the missing band, then click Add Chargeband.
- Locate the intended band and click its Delete button.
- Any band that is not broken-out can temporarily be switched off for this tariff. To do this, click its Block Band button. The appearance of the band will change, with most of its details hidden. You can reverse this by clicking the band's Include button.
- You can close or exit this tab whenever you have finished making your changes.
